5/8" construction rebar is secured every 2 feet into the concrete footing  around the perimeter of the home's slab.    Construction felt, the same width as the bales, is placed on the slab.  On the outside edges of this felt, two 2x6 timbers are secured to the slab.  In the space between, small rocks are arranged to accept any possible moisture from the bales.
